If the getnvseversion command returns an error than NVSE is not installed correctly at all. If you're bypassing the normal game launcher in some way as Edouard suggested it won't work, if you never see that launcher panel you're going to have problems. How exactly do you launch the game? Click on the game's desktop shortcut, use the steam shortcut or what? You don't actually load NVSE itself, you launch the game normally and if NVSE is installed it hooks in to the game's executible file. I tried loading NVSE directly from Steam, and using the nvse_loader, both times the "getnvseversion" command returned an error is there anyway i should configure steam cloud? What is steam cloud? isn't that the program that keeps track of progress through the game? i thought i only needed to "enable steam community in-game" to get NVSE working. It is possible the executable has been corrupted. (Does the Red launcher window with the Play Options Data Files and Tech Support options screen display?) If it doesn't you are bypassing the launcher and somehow skipping the executable file check. It is possible that by calling it in the way you do you are bypassing the Launcher.
Have you tried to run FONV from the Steam App interface. NVSE has always worked for me (I can tell easily because I use the Readius PDA and it won't display at all without NVSE.Īre you using the 4Gb Memory Extender? I have read this post and i seem to have installed NVSE correctly and am following the correct steps to use it: everything is in my fallout NV folder (not Data, but the one with FNV launcher), Steam is set to allow "Steam Community In-game," and i use a shortcut that points to "steam://rungameid/22380" to load the game. It has been on there all week and no response. Just reposting a question of mine from the NVSE thread.
